Canada, the newest third world nation
Through an outrageous combination of Union and Political stupidity, Toronto is currently buried under a sea of rubbish/garbage. Bin men/garbage men have been on strike for several weeks, meaning people and businesses are left to dump their rubbish wherever they can find space; on the sidewalk, in parks and on streets are currently the favourites. I tried to find a decent picture of this to show you, but I didn't see one that was worthwhile.

I had a low opinion of Unions and Politicians before this incident, but now I'm disgusted that both parties could let this happen. It's a health hazard pure and simple, and if a citizen were caught dumping gargabe at any other time, they would be probably be fined by the city. I'm lost in a haze of anger and hypocricy. Unions turfing employees onto the streets seeking better wages, and Politicians standing by and watching it take place. If I were a resident of Toronto I'd be consulting with my lawyer and/or refusing to pay my taxes.

Luckily I'm not a resident of Toronto, but will this happen in Calgary some day? Who knows. Either way, I'd like to introduce you to Canada, the world's newest third world country.

Science boring? Never!
In a move that I find quite funny, the British politicians are planning to put fun back in the classroom. Politicians are claiming that science in the classroom is boring. And this coming from some of the most boring, and weird people in the country! A politician calling science boring is like the pot calling the kettle black!
Just a test, in reality
Of course, in reality, this is just a test. The main problem with using blogger.com is that when their site doesn't work, I can't post anything. But the beauty is that I get a working site, with a good template, with little to no work. So bear with me!

Welcome to the reborn stodge.net!
Welcome to the new look for stodge.net. I got tired of using the old scripts; it looked like everyone else's site, so I thought I would be just a tad different. Ok, so if you use blogger.com, you can look the same as this, but who cares!!

Let me know what you think. You can't post comments directly to this site; you have to go to the forum, but I'll post a link to the topic for discussion each time I post a story here.

There will be teething problems, so bear with me. I'll probably play around with the look as always, and most likely I'll change a colour or two. I may even use the colours from the old site.
